DISTRESS TOLERANCE
DBT Skills Group
A 8-week, virtual group designed to help adults to navigate life’s many challenges without turning to harmful or self-destructive behaviors, allowing us to experience difficult emotions while still maintaining control and moving forward.
Fridays 12-1 pm | October 24-December 19
No matter where you're at in life, there will always be situations that are outside of our control. These painful events are a normal part of life, and everyone will experience extreme emotional distress.
Distress tolerance is the ability to manage emotional distress. Whether the pain is big or small, our tolerance determines how well we can manage the situation. Distress tolerance skills help us to be well-equipped whenever these painful moments come.
This Distress Tolerance DBT Skills Group will help you to:
-
Get through crises without making them worse
-
Accept reality even when it’s not what you want
-
Be at peace with yourself and your life, no matter what circumstances you find yourself in
