Moving Beyond Supportive Listening into Actionable Growth

Have you ever ended a session feeling like you and your client just talked in circles? Are you worried about clients dropping out of therapy because their lives aren’t changing?

Validation and empathetic listening are essential foundations for therapeutic rapport, but clients often reach a point where they need more than a safe space to process—they crave tangible, step-by-step tools to make real change in their daily lives.

When a client is sitting in front of you in active emotional dysregulation, chronic interpersonal conflict, or a panic spiral, empathetic reflection is only step one. To help them break out of distress loops, they need concrete, evidence-based coping skills they can put into practice immediately.

Introducing a Better Way to Master Skills

You don't need to complete an 18-month comprehensive DBT intensive just to bring practical, high-impact coping tools into your individual sessions or group offerings.

This 8-Week Live Virtual Cohort breaks down the most effective Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills across Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness into digestible, 60-minute weekly modules.

Instead of sitting through a grueling 8-hour Zoom marathon, you spend one hour a week mastering skills, discussing real-world client application with peers, and obtaining plug-and-play client resources you can use to facilitate real progress.

Why 1 Hour a Week Beats an 8-Hour Marathon

  • Zero Lost Billable Hours: Blocking out an entire 8-hour day for a CEU webinar means canceling client sessions and losing $1,000+ in revenue. A Tuesday morning 9:00 AM slot fits seamlessly between your morning coffee and your first client session.

  • Learn Tuesday, Use Tuesday: Learn a concrete skill at 9 AM and teach it to your 10 AM client the exact same day.

  • Maximum Retention & Practice: Spaced learning allows you to digest, practice, and integrate one skill at a time rather than experiencing information overload.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this training for? This training is designed for licensed mental health professionals and pre-licensed associates who want to integrate practical, structured DBT skills into their individual therapy or group offerings.

Do I need prior formal DBT training to attend? Not at all. This course assumes no prior formal DBT background and translates concepts into straightforward, practical language that any clinician can implement immediately.

What if I have to miss one of the 8 live weeks? To meet board compliance for CEU issuance, live attendance is required for hours that will be issued, so missing weeks will result in fewer hours being issued. The purchase of 6-month access to the entire training is available for missed modules.

Does this training make me a "DBT Therapist?" No. To become a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) therapist, you must hold a mental health graduate degree, maintain an active clinical license, and complete specialized DBT training. Instead, this cohort will allow you to learn and incorporate specific DBT skills into your own style of therapy and improve the efficacy of the clinical care you provide.,
