THERAPY FOR YOUNG ADULTS

You aren't failing.
You just weren't given the skills you need to live well.

Specialized, skills-based therapy for 20 and 30-somethings in Tulsa ready to move beyond "understanding the problem" and start developing the new neural pathways needed for a stable, connected life.

Learning the Language of Your Nervous System

Many of my young adult clients arrive with the same frustration: They are smart, self-aware, and high-achieving, yet they feel completely unequipped to handle the intensity of their own emotions or the complexity of their relationships.

Here is the truth: Emotion regulation and relationship health are skills we have to learn. They aren't personality traits you’re born with. If your parents, teachers, or previous therapists didn't explicitly teach you how to navigate a nervous system hijack or how to set a sustainable boundary, you won't magically know how to do it at 25 or 30.

My office is where we stop wondering why you "just can't get it together" and start learning the skills you were never taught.

Is it too late to build a community?

There is a specific kind of loneliness that hits after the structured environments of high school or college disappear. You look around and it feels like everyone else has their "people," while you’re left wondering how to start from scratch.

In our work together, we treat connection as a practice. We don't just process the feeling of loneliness; we work on the actual behaviors required to change it:

  • Practicing Connection: We identify where to find high-value connections in Tulsa (or wherever you are in Oklahoma) and how to initiate them.

  • Relationship Mechanics: We develop the skills to move an acquaintance into a genuine friendship or partnership.

  • The Art of the Boundary: We learn how to protect your energy by saying "no" to draining cycles, leaving you room to say "yes" to the relationships that actually add value to your life.

How we'll do the work

This isn't a space for passive venting. This is a workspace where we use the technical structure of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you practice new ways of being in real-time.

What we work on together:

  • Rewiring Your Response: Learning to pause between the impulse and the action so you can choose a path that aligns with your goals.

  • Conflict Navigation: Developing the "muscle memory" to know exactly what to say when things get tense at work, with friends, or in your dating life.

  • Self-Respect Effectiveness: Learning to uphold your own values and needs without burning bridges or losing your sense of self.

Let's get you on the right path now so you can live the rest of your life in wholeness.
