Interpersonal Effectiveness:
The 9-Week Path to Authentic Connection
Learn to ask for what you need and protect your peace.
Human relationships are beautiful, but they can also be incredibly confusing. Many of us find ourselves staying silent to keep the peace, or raising our voices just to be heard. In this 9-week virtual intensive, we explore how to communicate with integrity and clarity. You’ll learn how to ask for what you need and say "no" when you must, all while honoring both yourself and the person across from you.
Stop People-Pleasing and Move Past Conflict
We often find ourselves stuck in two extremes: staying silent to keep the peace (the doormat) or raising our voices just to feel heard (the flamethrower). Both leave us feeling disconnected. DBT teaches you the middle path: Assertiveness.
We break down human interaction into three measurable goals:
Objective Effectiveness
Getting what you want and need out of relationships while also...
Relationship Effectiveness
maintaining or improving the quality of the relationship while also...
Self-Respect Effectiveness
feeling good about yourself afterward.
Cultivating Your Relational Wisdom
Over 9 weeks, you'll master skills for your social interactions including:
-
DEAR MAN: Moving away from beating around the bush and into a clear, kind way of expressing your needs so others can truly understand you.
-
GIVE: Learning how to maintain the warmth and connection in your relationships, even when the conversation is difficult.
-
FAST: Practicing how to hold onto your values and self-respect, ensuring that your "yes" and your "no" both come from a place of honesty.
-
Intensity Discernment: Learning to sense the "temperature" of a situation so you can decide how much firmness or gentleness is needed in the moment.
-
Validation: The secret to de-escalating conflict instantly.
Designed for Your Busy Life
I’ve removed the typical barriers to group therapy so you can focus on the results:
-
Virtual & Accessible: Join from your home or office. No Tulsa traffic, no parking, no commute.
-
The "Lunch-and-Learn" Slot: We meet on Fridays at 12:00 PM for a focused 60-minute training session. It fits perfectly into a standard lunch break.
-
A Space for Practice: This isn't a place for "performance." It’s a supportive circle where we practice new ways of speaking and listening together. You can join from the quiet of your home or office, making it a focused pause in your week dedicated to your growth.
